Folsom Police Department Launches Project Lifesaver

The Folsom Police Department has announced its involvement in the nationwide Project Lifesaver program. The Project Lifesaver program will be offered free of charge to Folsom residents who are caring for loved ones with Alzheimer’s Disease, autism, or other conditions that make them likely to wander away from caregivers. Residents with disabilities in the Folsom community, who meet the eligibility requirements, are fitted with a device (bracelet) that allows officers to track the resident should they become lost. The officers are equipped with locating devices that utilize radio waves to locate the transmitters that the program clients are issued. SASSNA has contacted the police department to express support of the Project Lifesaver program. For complete details on the Folsom Police Department's Project Lifesaver program visit their web page.
